Scientists have been wondering where the center of the universe could be at. Well, the Chinese have already figured that out a long time ago. The center of the universe is in Beijing China at the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the heart of the sacred empire of China, a walled compound in the center of Beijing built in the early fifteenth century. Designated by the emperors as the center of the universe. The center stone in the altar marks the very center of the universe. So now we know where the center of the universe is at.

While amusing, this is neither physics nor astronomy.
I'm moving it to a different Forum.

Polchey,

you should consider the evidence, instead of relying on scientists or historians. The truth is, the center of the Universe is your own navel.

I was going to ask, how could it be in Beijing China at the Forbidden City? Isn't that on the surface of the Earth?... the same Earth which spins, the same Earth which orbits a star (which orbits a galaxy... etc.)? That's not my envisionment of 'center'.

My center is within my head/brain... the universe revolves about me.

In Celestia 1.5.0, I always thought the centre of the universe was here: cel://Follow/Solar%20System%20Barycente ... 215&lm=336

and in 1.4.1, here: cel://Follow/Sol/2005-08-23T21:00:09.75 ... 215&lm=336

I hope those who reply to this post will see the humorous meaning of this message, that they don't think I'm being serious about it.
