This is, of course, great. But I really don't think it worth celebrating. No offense of course, but 89,000 isn't exactly that distinguished, compared to, for example, 1,000, 25,000, 50,000, 75,000, 100,000, 500,000, 1,000,000... et cetra.
Let's wait until post 100,000?

This needs to be fixed, immediately! (or at least before another 11,000 posts or so)
Maybe we could fix that eventually.

Perhaps is more quickly to write: "Our users have posted a total of
100k and ... articles"

If so, then that number won't appear to move for another thousand posts. I'm not sure about other people on this forum, but the scientist in me desires precisise, unrounded numbers. I don't give the length of Earth's year as 400 days,

How about just "Our users have posted
a whole lotta stuff!"?

That's worse, haha. So now that we're in the mid 90-thousands, the issue is becoming more urgent.
Is it possible to alter it to where it displays a numerical amount of posts? (i.e. "Our users have posted 104,629 articles" for example).
Second, are we even sure that it'll roll over back to 0?

If this really is a problem, then why can't the post display simply
include a hard-coded piece of text that says "100,000 old posts + "
[insert new count here]?
Shouldn't be all that much trouble to fix.

Not a bad idea actually.

Er... um... my comment about it rolling over was just a joke.
It should continue displaying the post count well into the millions I'm sure.
Kinda reminds me of McDonalds... "Billions and Billions Served"

Ah, haha alright. Sorry. *Sigh of relief*

Haha, wow. Where was this?

Where was this? The northeast US, in NJ.
I remember in the 1960's,
McDonalds used to change their sign from time to time to show how many hamburgers they had sold. I don't recall how often they changed it, but it seemed every time we went it was... it looked very much like
this.
