Fictional add-ons

Post #1by Teemu Ruskeepää » 14.06.2007, 15:19

Please create the space dock from ST3 Search for Spock. I'm talking about the huge solid structure with a door in upper mushroom-like part for whole spaceships to slide in. U.S.S. Excelsior was in the station with Enterprise-A. Be accurate. Your links have only the small one ship holders, which I definitely don't need. There is no pictures of it anywhere. The most important space station of the space travel of humanity in the Star Trek Universe has been totally forgotten and neglected.

I've done one but not too accurate, so I trash it... too bad... :?

Never tried it, but it's in 3DS format, so probably could work in Celestia.
It's the sixth from the top, Star Trek Drydock:

and many more Star trek models can be found there.
May be this will help you.

I have two spacedocks in 3DS format but the only problem is the textures are not the right size so they don't show up.
I've tried resizing the textures but they come out looking distorted.

I found them here... http://www.trekmeshes.ch/

If you are able to get them to work right be sure to ask the author if you can distribute them as a celestia add-on

Teemu, the Reiko's link has 2 models of that spacebase. Be sure that you agree the site when required.

I've seen it before in this forum and I have to insist that you save me from your demands. I do not want you or any of your intolerant friends as my authority. Stop that and start producing practical user content and ideas, like the rest of the peple who are interested in Celestia!

I already have a VERY DETAILED model of that space station. A beautifull one. 8)

Why don't you put it to Motherload then? It would be a treasure for the users.

A little over-zealous and a tad demanding if you ask me. :?

I totally agree with you, LordFerret. To ask someone a question can be somewhat annoying for whom receive it, but it serves to learn more; evidently some persons born instead just learned...

I think Teemu is a very smart bot, roaming about webforums, hunting for 3d-models. ;)

Just Google for "Teemu Ruskeep?¤?¤" (WEB), and you'll find his homepage, read his CV, his present activities ;-) and some photos of him.
