Do you 'mod' other games?
As you all knows, we are 'modding' celestia. I'm just curious, does anybody mod other games (I didn't meant to say that celestia is a game, lol)?
I mod GTA San Andreas, GTA 4, Spore, and probably Fate..

I've produced 'skins' for flight sims, mainly WW two fighters... I don't really regard them as games though.

I used to mod fate... Nothing serious, though. One of my first projects was a crossbow which used the cat model. I was thinking that the arrow/bolt effect would come out of the cat's mouth. It didn't. It came out of the other end. And the fact that the thing meowed everytime it was fired led to many a hysterical giggle fit.
Nowadays I mod Dwarf Fortress. Awesome game, even though the graphics are basically OpenGL rendered extended ANSII tiles. It's intentional though. The developer wants a retro look.

Re: Do you 'mod' other games?
I heavily modded Sid Meier's Civilization II: Multiplayer Gold Edition, mainly to tip the game in my favor and in favor of my Plutonian Empire thing. I even made a series of scenarios following my Empire from it's founding, all the way to total conquest of the entire universe. Of course, not having any creativity resulted me in taking stuff from other scenarios and recycling them over and over again with different settings, although I still managed to add some of my unique stuff -- which were also repeatedly recycled.
Sadly, I lost some of the scenarios when my old Dell laptop died.

Re: Do you 'mod' other games?
Civilization is more of a series of turn-based strategy games, where you are leader of a country, build multiple cities, acquire new scientific advances, and compete with (or conquer ) other countries, on a timescale of just over 6,000 years, always starting at 4,000 BCE.Verz Veraldi wrote:@PlutonianEmpire: wow, looks alot like sim city... never heard of it before but i've search it on google..
It's been a while since my last game though.
