My Hard Science-Fiction Project, "Upbringer"

I've been working quite some time now on a hard sci-fi project I call Upbringer. The intention is to write a novel (perhaps more than one) based on the backstory I've been building. Recently though I've decided that the universe I've been trying to build is in fact somewhat too large for me to handle alone. So I'm inviting all you forum-goers (I know there is at least ONE person here from Orion's Arm) to go over to my site and take a look, and join up in the forums! I've been doing a lot of the worldbuilding, but there is just so much that I want to do, I just can't do it on my own. Plus, a collaborative effort brings many fresh and interesting perspectives to the project.

You can find a basic overview of the story (mainly the backstory of the setting I intend to use in the novel) on the site. This is just a very, very small part of what I have already developed but haven't put up because it's simply too nebulous. So far I've simply been focusing on the habitable exoplanet Tiamat, trying to develop realistic life-forms, create human colonies and cities on the planet (there is no FTL in this setting, although wormholes have been developed in the Solar System. This means the human settlers on Tiamat are completely Independent of Earth.), and develop the rest of the solar system. But I also need to create histories for Earth, the solar system in general, Humanity, and Tiamat...just lots of topics. Lots of room for creativity!
