I can't say that I much like the Paul McCartney song, however there's no doubt in my mind that this is the best Christmas song ever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzTG0fTLAlU&feature=related

Re: This music makes me cry
Moody Blues' 'Forever Autumn', but only the version on Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds' album.
I'm partly tone-deaf, but that haunting track *engages* with my range...
Regret no link available...

Uuuullaaaaaa!!!?
Brilliant album... I have it myself, but I haven't listened to it for awhile. I think I'll have to revisit it now that you've mentioned it.
"Forever Autumn" is almost certainly my favorite track on the album.
Here's the link to the song (subtitled), including Richard Burton's commentary (not subtitled):

...and I also found this live performance on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7vfjJHcfeE&feature=related
...and "Eve of the War" (the opening track): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W8JLqsbK5V0&feature=related
