Can someone help me with Vista, please?
How do I get Vista to let me edit the files in the Program Files folder?

Right-click on the Program Files folder in Explorer, and then click on the "Properties" option listed at the
bottom of the display.
Next, click on the Security tab to see if your User-ID is allowed or denied access to full control in the listing.
If your ID is not allowed full control, then you will have to change the security permissions by clicking on the
"Edit" tab. You MUST be the Administrator in order to get this done though.
Hope that helps, Bob

How do I gain access as an administrator? I did what you said, but all the options are greyed out.

I would suggest to not install Celestia to the program files folder of Vista!
To prevent any problems it should go to e.g. C:\Celestia\ or similar.

Ulrich,
On my system (single user, and I am the admin) installing Celestia to Program Files is the default.
Causes absolutely NO problems for me. Just FYI...
As far as getting Administrator rights, I don't understand how you could NOT have these rights if
you are on a stand-alone single computer at home. I'm afraid that you'll have to get help
from the Windows Vista site in order to correct the Administrator problem. Sorry.
Thanks, Bob

Ok, I messed up while trying to sign into the windows vista help community, and now it won't let me go to the sign in page. I think deleting my cookies might help, but how do I delete my cookies, and where are they stored?

Download a very handy freeware program from the site located HERE.
Should give you everything you need.
Thanks, Bob

Just to be sure, what/where is that windows vista site?BobHegwood wrote:As far as getting Administrator rights, I don't understand how you could NOT have these rights if

Is the site in the following link the one you are talking about?
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/commun ... 3a2235ae50
I've tried signing in to that site, but it just won't let me sign in. I already have a windows live account, but when I enter my e-mail and password for it, it just logs me right back out.

Ask for technical support by clicking HERE.
If this site doesn't work for you, then something is VERY wrong with your installation. Sorry, but this is the best I can do for you.
