First i want to send a big "hello" to everyone since im new here
And please excuse my English if sometimes seem crude
Anyway, to my question. Yesterday we had a discussion with a friend and i had a thought that it may seem silly, but i just want to ask here if it is ( theoretically of course ) possible
if there was a telescope looking at earth from 2000 light years away, and this telescope was so greatly advanced ( beyond our imagination i suppose - to do something like that at least ) that from such a distance it could see right down to the earth's surfuce... would it see the ancient Rome?
Thanks
