Post #1by GlobeMaker » 23.01.2006, 18:49

Get ready for the next total eclipse of the Sun that is visible in the USA.

Totality will be visible in Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Illinois,
Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The link gives
the date and time for the event of a lifetime. It also shows an animated GIF
of the path of totality and partiality:

Prepare early for the event that only lasts for 2 minutes and 40 seconds !
Your wish is my command line.

Only 11 years to wait! And for me, a short drive to Oregon. But 2045 will be the biggie. I only have to drive 2 hours north. I'll be 81 then.
