Can anyone tell me if there is even any indirect data on the age of Luyten's Star (http://www.solstation.com/stars/luytens.htm)?
It is a high motion star, but I don't recall if that speaks towards its age or not.

I don't think it's a flare star either, which may mean it's fairly old (a few billion years old, at least). I couldn't find any info on the metallicity of Luyten's star either, which may have told us whether it formed early in the universe (i.e. is a subdwarf) or later.
You might be safe to assume that it's at least as old as Sol?

Hey Doc...
Yeah, I was going to go ahead and work off of the assumption that it would be old enough for my purposes. Which, of course, means that as soon as I get a good and detailed write up about it done for my site, some piece of information will fall into my lap telling me it's too young!
BTW, sorry for the delay in replying, but I've been on a mini-vacation for the past couple of days.
