Colour of carbon stars

Post #1by ajtribick » 17.01.2004, 21:23

Any values for the colour of R, N, S type stars in terms of R, G and B values? The table at spacegear.org equates these stars to the normal stars of equivalent temperature, however reading around on the Internet I am informed that they are deep red.

From the spectrum of T Lyr at http://www.astrosurf.com/buil/us/peculiar2/carbon.htm, I get a colour in the vicinity of [ 1.00 0.13 0.00 ].
