The onboard high definition camera of the moon explorer "KAGUYA", which is under initial functional verification, successfully acquired the world's first high definition images of an "Earth-rise" and "Earth-set".
It was also the world's first HD images of the Earth from about 380,000 km away in space.

Yes, very interesting images and link, thank you JetCrow.
BTW, they made a big mistake here:
Table 1: Major Characteristics of the HDTC
HDTV
Camera Charactor
Sensor: CCD(1920?—1080: valid pxcels)
Number of chips: 3 chips
Prism: Three primary colors spectrum by Dichroic Prism
Lens: Fixed lenses (T: tele camera, W: wide camera)
Field of view T: 51.23?°(horizontal) 30.17?°(vertical)
(FOC) W: 15.60?°(horizontal) 8.80?°(vertical)
Obviously the T and W Field of View (FOC) data in the Table 1 are inverted.
Bye
Andrea

...but no movie, just a short article and a picture. What a shame.

Nice! looks pretty much like JetCrow's first image! I don't suppose we'll have 3ds or CMOD mountains on the moon any time soon? (We'll have to eventually when the lunar base gets built. At least.... we should. I'm sure Celestia will be more-or-less around in 2018).
