I am just wondering if it is possible for a natural system with a gas giant as the "star"? That means a systme basically has no sun light.

Yes.

Quite a few brown dwarfs have been found. The smallest found so far, Cha 110913-773444, is only about 8x Jupiter. Presumably it's possible for even smaller bodies to condense out of interstellar clouds of gas and dust, too.
