Oh, they won't let something as paltry as the truth stop them. From some angles, the Face actually does bear a resemblance to a face (especially after expecting it to after years of hearing and seeing the hype), but then so do some clouds and mounds of horse manure. Pareidolia is a universal condition, I think.

Personally, I think one day someone *will* find a face on Mars, maybe even on this very Cydonian mesa. Of course, being the optomist that I am, I expect it to be the result of some future colonist and mega-artist who decided to carve the mesa into a face, thereby creating a self-fullfilling prophecy of sorts.

I don??t believe so.The space program is going so SLOW that I think we will be extinct before any attempt to colonize Mars.No kidding. The new crew launch vehicles are simply a joke, two or more steps behind the versatility of the space shuttles.
