Intergalactic objects

If there could be interstellar planets that got ejected from solar systems and intergalactic stars that got ejected from galaxies, there should be intergalactic planets. I guess they'd be hard to detect. 8O

Hard to detect, but I'd be willing to bet that they are an almost certainty. With some of the remarkably widespread "tails" and streams of expelled dust and gas and stars, solar systems in the Great Dark are probably relatively common in certain areas (common being a *very* relative term, mind you).

The neat thing is, it wasn't all that long ago that such things were thought to be pretty much impossible.
