It still freaks me out that the Death Star looks almost exactly like Mimas when Lucas et al didn't have a clue what it looked like when they made Star Wars. The Herschel crater is about the same size relative to Mimas as the 'gun crater' is to the Deathstar :)

Every book I have on planetary science makes reference to the similarity. This probably makes the Death Star the science fiction image most used in mainstream science texts.

I wonder if Uncle George is charging them for it? :lol:
