Sun pics

Post #1by ElPelado » 20.06.2004, 09:48

At the time of the transit there were almost no sun spots, but now we have a very nice group there, so I took the filter again, the telescope and made some pics of them.
I used a webcam I have(CMOS chip). The cam is not very good, even for using it as a webcam, but it can make nice things with the telescope.
The first two are just pics and the last 2 are from two videos I filmed, aligned and stacked with RegiStax2 and edited(not very much because I am not an expert, and I am far away from beeing one) with Photoshop.

Great pictures these.

I have a friend who did some very good astrophotographs with his webcam. See this link (in Portuguese):

His name is Andre Moutinho.
