Now that I've sorted out how the co-ordinate systems work...
I'm looking for something that lists the known nebulae (the ones with names will suffice if that's all that exists), plus how far away they are from Sol, plus what their RA/Dec or Alpha/Delta (or even better, galactic) co-ordinates are.
Does such a beast exist? really, I'm only interested in the ones within a 1000 ly radius from Sol. So far, I've gathered that the Helix and Pelican nebulae are within that radius... are there any more?
