Lunar eclipse during the night of 28 October 2023

Post #1by EarthMoon » 28.10.2023, 15:56

Tonight (night of 28 October 2023), there will be a partial lunar eclipse. Post images/photos about that you will have recorded in this thread if you want, or discuss!

The moon will begin to enter Earth's penumbra at 18:01:48 UTC and the eclipse's maximum will take place at 20:14 UTC.

Here are two countdowns (one for eclipse start, one for maximum):

I will try to observe this astronomical event, too (but it's cloudy here at my location so the chances aren't that good ...).
Crew: "We are orbiting a black hole."
Control Center: "Do not fly too close to the black hole!"
Crew: "OH OOPS..."

Celestia versions:
1.6.3, 1.7.0 sRGB, 1.6.1 ED (plain)

Current projects:
Celestial (a Celestia-like program written in Python)
