Terraforming Mars

Post #1by PlutonianEmpire » 29.03.2009, 00:21

As most of us know, there is a lot of talk about terraforming Mars, but is it feasible? Is it even practical? Would solar flares or storms strip away the atmosphere on Mars? How do we plan on transporting all that water to Mars? How do we plan on thickening up the atmosphere?

Lots of questions. Even more curiosity...

So you are curious about terraforming the Red Planet?
First, read the Wiki page;
Terraforming Mars
then some of the references at tye bottom, particularly this one
Technological Requirements for Terraforming Mars
You can browse through these essays at Red Colony
Article Index note that some of these essays are a little over-optimistic

and you can take a glance at Orion's Arm's page on the Red Planet
