WASP-11b = HAT-P-10b

So you do a press release in April announcing the fact you've discovered 10 planets, however you don't get around to actually releasing papers for a while.

In the meantime, another team comes along and discovers an object, puts a paper on the arXiv in which they point out:

We note that a similar object has been announced by the SuperWASP team (WASP-11b), but details (such as identification) are unavailable as yet.

Oh dear.

Wonder if any of the remaining unpublished WASP planets will also get scooped...

Yeah I was rather bothered by this as well.

When you make a press release, have papers already ready to go...

The lack of data about the WASP stars has been something that's bothered me for a while.

What I find interesting is that with as many stars as there are, two organisations independently discover a transiting planet. It isn't the first time, one of the XO planets was a WASP candidate a while back.
