APOD: 2008 May 23 - Jupiter's Three Red Spots

That region of Jupiter's atmosphere is starting to look a bit crowded...

That was such a lovely picture I thought I'd see what it looked like as a texture.
Not too bad; looks like some of the more extreme simulations of atmosphere rotation I've seen here and there on the 'net...

Actually it makes a very unique gas giant texture. Very cool effects, don't know why I never thought of this myself.

...and now back to two red spots... the third spot was ripped apart by the other two.
