Hello i'm new!
Hello i just downloaded celestia and i am absolutely astounded at what you've done with a free program. although the startrek and such add-ons are neat the universe in celestia seems to be alittle dull, so i was wondering would it be too out of the question to make stars spontaniously explode into supernovas and turn into black holes? or maybe have somewhere around the year 5000 have spaceships attack each other? i'm not sure if this is beyond the bounds of your program or not i just figured i give some new suggestions.

Celestia is not a game, nothing fake is part of the official package... all SF addons are works from fans of the genre, for their personal use and to share with other fans, but in parallel, lots of people use this soft in a professional way, as a database for astronomy, or for educational purpose etc...

Celestia was designed to be used as a space simulator. But I doubt that anyone would be able to make an addon for ships that battle. But there are addons for black holes in this sites addons gallery. You can find them here, http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... l.php#1800 My favorites are the Black Pit and Black Hole 108 Nubula. So you may want to give them a try.
