I`m pretty new to Celestia and have just learned about add-ons and already installed a great galaxies add-on..
Now I was wondering if there are any add-ons for exoplanets, preferably realistic ones, that have really been detected by astronomers!
Are those available?
Thanks
Are there real life exoplanets available?
If I may indulge in some shameless self-promotion, there is the Extended Gas Giant Classification System add-on, which modifies the textures of the exoplanets incorporated in Celestia according to the various classes of exoplanet described in a paper by Sudarsky (more details available in the thread).
I forget which version of Celestia the Modify directive was introduced, you may need the latest prerelease for the add-on to work.

The easiest way to find them is to download Chaos Syndrome's add-on, install it, then look at the file called .ssc (open it with Notepad or similar)
then find the stars with planets listed there.
Another way is to get the star names off this list;

I have made a little modification for my own amusement to these files on my computer, giving a few planets the names they are sometimes unofficially known by.
