A New Version of the Alpha Centauri A System for ArcBuilders

Hey all...

I'm done tweaking the Alpha Centauri A system for my ArcBuilder Universe setting. The link is at: http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/catal ... don_id=374 The major changes include the inclusion of bump maps, and specular maps where applicable (reflecting some new viewing capabilities of mine with that "new" video card I aquired), as well as some texture tweaking on a couple of planets. Also note the Vulcanian asteroid belt: thanks to Comoran for the help with that, utilizing his most excellent belt generator!

As always, thanks both to the creators of Celestia, and the WONDERFUL folks at the Motherlode, all of which have made this project of mine possible.

Remember, if you decide to download it, please leave a rating and a comment or two.

These worlds do look a lot better when they have specular maps and bump maps, John.

Thanks, Steve....

It was an eye opener when I discovered that my new card, as small as it is, could utilize these things. I can't wait until ring shadows are supported, but that will have to wait until the next video card, and THAT might be a month or so away.
