I've made an add-on of planets, spaceships and structures from the Orion's Arm Universe, which contains more than four hundred planets (most of which are artificial ones in a ring in a single system, Ecotopia)-
this add-on should eventually find its way onto the Motherlode, with luck.
Here is a gallery of just a few spacecraft and habitats from this add-on.

these are not (yet) hi-res worlds, but they do represent an attempt to be reasonably realistic. Orion's Arm is a collaborative project, and many people have been involved in the creation of these planets; when these worlds and spacecraft are eventually available, you are welcome to improve upon them for future releases.

Well, I couldn't resist it; I made an OA elevator mesh anyway.

please note, this is based on rthorvald's needle, but with a different mesh and a different location; it also is not included in the most recent OA package...

Which one?
Rthorvald's needle touches down in the Indian Ocean, near Sri Lanka;
my Tangga Bintang elevator reaches down to Sulawesi, and there are three others, one to Brazil, one to Equador and one to Gabon;

I haven't written the .ssc for these yet.

In the ArcBuilder setting of mine, the first space elevator was erected in the Congo, yes. However, I've since changed that idea due to various reasons.

Here is a gallery I have put together from screenshots I have
taken of the various Orion's Arm addons I have made in Celestia; mixed
in are one or two images of OA aliens I have put together using various
graphics techniques.
This gallery will get bigger at time goes by -I don't know how many
pics Imageshack will allow, but I think I am going to find out...

have uploaded a quite large file of OA planets and spacecraft
uploaded to the Celestia Motherlode;
http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/creat ... mplete.zip
warning; 69 megs...
this represents all the OA stuff I had done up until about a month
ago; so it does not include Pluton, Rendell or Ouaddai; these will be
available fairly soon.
Selden has pointed out that the spacecraft included have not been given the classification 'spacecraft' in the .ssc files, so you can only find them by browsing through the solar system planet by planet...
included are 37 solar systems, big and small, a few dyson swarms and other megastructures, and many spacecraft.
If you do not know about the Orion's Arm worldbuilding project, It was founded by M. Alan Kazlev; it has been running for five years, and has created hundreds of worlds and thousands of pages of stories, articles and images about the next ten thousand years of history in the Universe.
There are many hundreds of worlds left to do; some other members are also working with Celestia and I hope to have their contributions available too. One of the spacecraft in this pacakge was designed by John Dollan from this board, incidentally.

Ah, the Almucantar... a ship that will play a big role in the ArcBuilder setting, as well.
BTW, Steve... this new mega-package includes the worlds from the previous 6 releases, right?
