For those of you who havent seen a similar post on the Motherlode forum,just letting you know I have completed a new Stargate addon,with a star system for the location of the Alpha Site (an off-world base of SG1)

Unfortunately there aren't any details in the series,such as names of other planets/moons in the system other than the Canada-like planet P3X 984,and no location for this system (somewhere in our galaxy).So I have had to embellish loads.

I have made two different versions,one with CMOD models and DDS textures,
medres (including all the txt files,models and textures)which you must download first (just unzip to your Celestia/extras folder)

then the hires to place in the extras/Stargate_AlphaSite/textures folder.

The other version has 3ds models and Jpg textures
Download the medres first (unzip to extras folder)

Then download the hires folder
http://celestiamotherlode.net/creators/jestr/Stargate_AlphaSite_hires_Jpg.zip
and place this in your extras/Stargate_AlphaSite/textures folder

Hey Jestr...

Just thought I'd mention that I finally was able to load up the Alpha site add-on. It was *great*! Even on my relatively poor system. Unfortunately, I don't think I got the full effect, since I had forgotten that my Stargate installation of Celestia was still version 1.3 pre-something, so hopefully in the near future I'll be able to upgrade that.

Thanks for the wonderful add-on, and please keep us informed of when you create more Stargate stuff!!
