O'Neil L-5 add on update.

Post #1by Beowulf01 » 01.11.2004, 03:03

I have reworked my model and i am quite pleased with it so far.

I am not quite sure about my textures, they are all Jpegs that i have created in Paint shop Pro.
I know very little about doing textures. However i think i have done fairly well so far.
please give me your opinions of what you see.
The next step for me is to build a SSC file to display the model in Celesta, so i can have a good look at it, in Celesta.

Well, keep us informed. It is just this sort of thing I love to see in Celestia!

Sure i will keep you posted.
If this turns out good i do have a model of a Solar power sat and a Orion style ship in the works too.

When i say Orion i mean Freeman Dysons Orion, the nuclear bomb propelled space ship

NICE! I definitely look forward to eventually seeing them. I wish I had some skill at making models; I have a sketch of an interplanetary vessel for my setting I'd love to utilize some time.

If you need any inspiration for the Orion Drive, an excellent set of images for Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle's version 'Michael'

Let's get this model on line. Give us a beta to test and then get some feedback.
