Have a look at my Somaris system!

Hi, everybody. My system isn't still finished, but when I finish, this will be one of the bests systems. For now, I will show images on what I am working until now.
Image
This is Somaris star, a K type star with a radius of 0.85 Rsun.

Image
This is the first planet, called Crocknomastin. It's too hot that is hostile for ANY forms of life. Have a radius of 1682 Km.

Image
This is Venimis, the second planet with a complex sulphur-based biosphere. The complex beings on this planet breathe sulphur and live on temperatures around 430K. Have a radius of 6284 Km.

Image
Terrimonda is the third planet and the biosphere is quite more similar to our planet, but the atmosphere pressure is 6x dense than Earth. The gravity is 1.5 higher than Earth. There are intelligent beings living in this planet. Have a radius of 7246 Km.

Image
This is the moon of Terrimonda and have a tenue atmosphere of dioxide carbon and ozone. Have a radius of 2842 Km.

Image
Mashtar is the fourth planet and life here is quite less similar to our planet, but the atmospheric pressure is 10x dense than Earth. The gravity is 2x higher. There are intelligent beings living in this planet. Have a radius of 7835 Km.

Image
Brooklix is the first moon of Mashtar. Have a radius of 863 Km.

Image
Anshtar is the second moon of Mashtar. Have an atmosphere based on sulphur gases and part of the gas escape from this moon to the planet. Have a radius of 3274.

Image
Gasen is the fifth planet and have many moons and rings. Have a radius of 24376 Km.

Image
This is the first big moon of Gasen and is similar to Io. Have a radius of 1686 Km.

Image
Erimona is the second big moon of Gasen and is similar to Europa. Have a radius of 2062 Km.

Image
This is the third and last big moon of Gasen and is similar to Mars. Have a radius of 2316 Km.

Image
Jereline is the sixth and the biggest planet of this system. Have big rings and some big moons. Have a radius of 66354 Km.

Image
This is one of the various small rocky moons. Have a radius of 256 Km.

Image
First big moon and is similar to Iapetus. Have a radius of 1428 Km.

Image
This is the second big moon and is similar to Titan. Have a radius of 4686 Km.

Nice... but on some of the planets you have a VERY strong specular reflection of the sun (even when it's not on a liquid surface). Is that deliberate?

Hi,
There planets look pretty nice. My only criticism would be these same as the evil doctor's.

To make them available, you should submit them to the Celestia Motherlode. Please see http://celestiamotherlode.net/faq.html for details.

Also, could you please not post in the user's forum to advertise things everyone will see in the add-ons forum? It just adds to the clutter.

Thanks,
Joe

The reflection is not only because of liquid in some planets, but is also because of the icy surface. But in Vemaris, the reflection is because that the surface is very rich in metals.
And more, when the system was still forming, there were three stars. One orange star and two red dwarf stars. One red star was going to the direction of the other red star and the two chocked and spreaded it's dense material around the orange star that survived the explosion. This material formed dense planets that are rich in heavy elements. Not only planets, but some moons.

Very nice planets; and good graphics too; obviously better than my system, which doesn't show specular reflections or bump maps...
grrr...

The planets themselves are a little unusual, but I bet we would find many surprises out there if we could actually see real extrasolar planets;
I am old enough to remember what the 'artists impressions' of worlds like Europa, Io, Titan, Miranda looked like before the Voyager probes got there- mostly featureless balls.

No-one expected the variety and spectacular nature of these worlds, and a lot of theorising had to go on to explain their physical natures.

Similarly if we could see real extrasolars, first would come the surprise at their variety, then the backwards theorising to explain that variety.

Sorry for this last picture, that is showing the name of the brown dwarf that is above the sky. This image is from Cromaris, one moon of this brown dwarf.

I've updated my system and instead of Gasen it is now a brown dwarf called Crostimus and I added some new moons.
Also, I put a new planet called Guaranantos. It is a hot ball of magma that still not solidificated, and it's very near to the star, more near than Crocknomastin.
I also put a new star near my system. It's a K type star. But it's sufficient distant for it can't heat the planets on Somaris system.
I will continue to add more bodies in my system. One day I will put my system in a link somewhere for you can download it.

Here are the images of my new system:

Hi, I added a new and this is the last planet called Arichaipezoma and it's moon called Icaramina.

Here is an image:

Image

The blue is the planet Arichaipezoma and the pale yellow is Icaramina, it's moon.

The temperature of the planet is 71K.In the planet you can see many holes. These holes are in really volcanos and near of them the temperatures increase to 292K, that permits liquid water! Near these holes there are microscopic creatures that live with the material and the temperature that escape in these holes. The atmospheric pressure is quite high than Mars and is rich in oxigen, nitrogen and methane. The presence of methane indicate that may have some kind of life in this planet, and there is. The atmosphere, the heat and the material contribute to life in this environment. The surface is rich in organic molecules, water near the holes, ice and rock. The life started inside the holes, where the temperatures are high, about 305K. Then these creatures went to the surface and are still there. The heat exist because of the tydal forces caused by it's moon, that have exactly the half size of the planet

This shows that life can exist in places that look inospitable for us.

This image shows all the planets and it's moons.

In the top of this picture there are planets and below there are moons.
The two first planets are in the center of the image because they don't have moons.

I use Photoshop 7.0 with Lunarcell. When Lunarcell done the image, I add some rivers, lakes and I modify some colors using filters. Then, I make a normalmap, specularmap and sometimes nightmap version of the image.
