:D :idea: Hi! I?m new and I want to know you what you think of a biosphere that breathe fluorine gas with a temperature of 250K. These species of animals and plants depends of fluoridric acid to survive.The planet is Fluonieda, the pressure of the atmosphere is 3 times higher than Earth and the radius of the planet is 5825 km.

It has a circular orbit and the rotationperiod is 20.64 hours. The atmosphere color is pale yellow with many yellow and green clouds. The gravity is less weaker than the Earth.

Fluomaro is a moon of Fluonieda and long time ago didn't have life but the intelligent life of Fluonieda put life on it.

The plants depend on ultraviolet light to realize photosintesis and the animals also depends on it because of the chemical reactions. There are two groups of inteligent species. They are more inteligent than us, have sufficient technology to travel with higher speeds than the light, to see and talk with poltergeists ( ghosts ).

Floureleno is a green and less colder star than sun, but it emites more ultraviolet light and have a strange material that permits the star to live about 100 trilions years.

Fluoreleno has more planets than our solar system and the majority of them are small rocky planets. Many of them have some atmosphere.

Fluoreleno B is a small violet and cold star that orbits Fluoreleno and is more distant than Pluto to the sun. It has some cold planets and two of them has primitive complex life ( small animals and plants).
Fluoreleno seen from Fluonieda is 2 times brighter than the Sun and Fluoreleno B is 30 times brighter than the moon.

I am working on this system some days ago, but I still don't have my own site yet to show pictures of this beautiful system.

Please, I want to know if you liked my description and what you think of my idea.

Well it mostly matters if you like it...Not everyone will appreciate a green star like I do so do it any way you want no matter what the community thinks! I think the idea is a great one....Imagination is the basis of a great addon!

This would make an interesting planet, and I have heard of hypotherical biologies based on fluorine;
here is the Astrobiology entry on solvents, which mentions hydrogen sulfide (H2S), the closest chemical analogue of water, and hydrogen chloride (HCl).
http://www.daviddarling.info/encycloped ... lvent.html
Hydrogen fluoride is a very reactive analogue of hydrogen chloride, so could also be a solvent that might be a replacement for water.

Trouble is, the presence of water would turn flourine into a highly reactive acid, and the environment on such an acid planet would be very different to that of Earth.
It is a question of equilibrium; an acid will react with the environment until there is nothing left for it to attack; this generally means the acid is neutralised by reactions with base compounds and metals to make salts. Expect a lot of fluoride salts on your planet, and drastic chemical weathering.
