Installing Add-ons on a Mac

Post #1by Jollyman » 16.08.2004, 00:40

Hello everyone. Just got Celestia and I was wondering: when I DL an add-on, how do I install them? Do I have to put different files in different folders?

Jollyman,
Most of the add-ons I've downloaded go in the Users/your_name/Library/Application Support/CelestiaResources/Extras folder. Whew.

Usually readme files accompany the downloads explaining where to install.

Occasionally a data file will need to go into Users/your_name/Library/Application Support/CelestiaResources/Data; or a new texture in the Users/your_name/Library/Application Support/CelestiaResources/textures/medres folder.

Hope this helps

You might also want to take a look at the web page http://www.lepp.cornell.edu/~seb/celestia/addon-intro.html

Please let me know what isn't clear.
