Hi,

I just read in a magazine about "Hubble Deep Field" and "Hubble Deep Field-South". For I love the "Hubble Ultra Deep Field" addon I would like to know if there are addons for HDF and HDF-South? Or does HDF cover the same part of sky as HUDF?

Hi Dora,
fsgregs has made a billboard that shows a small section of the hubble deep field and I think Howard was discussing projecting the whole thing onto the inside of a sphere, but he hasn't been around for a while. Other than that, Selden has done some similar things. Hope this helps.

An annoyance with the Deep Field pictures and several others like them (the "deep field" picture of the Andromeda Galaxy's halo stars, for example) is that the ESA was involved with producing them. Unlike NASA, the ESA copyrights everything and requires you to ask permission before using their pictures for anything at all.

I'm not willing to spend the time and energy doing that.
