OA Addons

Rassilon has graciously allowed me to upload three zips of Orion's Arm planets;

As a coincidence Alan Kaslev, the owner of the Orion's Arm site has uploaded the same three zips to the Orion's Arm site today-

although Rassilon's version has one or two more wormholes and a much better texture for the planet Noachos.
Many textures are somewhat low res- they are supposed to be viewed from synchonous orbit...
(hey - I have many more to make, and I'm learning on the job)

All these worlds can be used and modified for any noncommercial use, of course; the textures for Ozymandias, Zeus, Newlyn and Hartebeeste are highly modified from the Celestia Jupiter texture; the textures for Deucalion and Noachos are highly modified rom the Celestia Mars texture.

How can I put the Beteugelse texture in the star?s definition?The text is made of only symbols.Which program could I use to open the stars.dat to change Beteugelse texture?

1) Stars.dat has nothing to do with star textures.
2) Read the thread containing the original Betelgeuse texture post, starting at this point, to see the workaround that adds star textures.

The .ssc file included in the zip has those lines written by Grant included in it; this will place an overlay of the Betelguese texture over the top of the star.

It is partiularly interesting because if you look at Betelgeuse from about 0.02 ly and increase the time rate it appears to be a variable star-
the first one I have seen in Celestia.
