The new version of the Doctor Who Universe I am hoping to have up for grabs sometime next week with several other addons for Celestia...The DWU will now come packaged standard with the Sol System and each planetary system will be a seperate download...The program calls for a batch/shortcut developed with the system named entered after the exe...eg: c:\universe.exe sol will load the Sol system...

Heres some screen shots of some of the engines improvements...A full list of updates including a guide to world building in DWU will all be included...

Just recently downloaded DWU and installed it, then found the necessary dll needed and installed that, and it looks real interesting! Pardon me if I seem a little thick here, but is the Zeta Rings the only addon for it right now? I found no instuctions for traveling, but found that the arrow keys and mouse change my viewing angle, and page up and page down zoom in and out. Is there any other keys that will work to travel, or is there an instruction manual for the challenged? Anyway, keep up the great work, Rassilon! :)

Thank you for your kind words!

Ive been meaning to come out with the now well overdue version 2.0 of this release that is supposed to include a manual for creating addons of your own not to mention flight controls and other instructions...Thing is I am still rather unhappy with the engine I chose to use for this undertaking and its somewhat at a standstill right now...

However you can use the following keys...

A for acceleration
Z for decceleration
Spacebar to stop
Arrow keys to pan left right up and down.
H or F1 for help
I to remove the info screen
N for the navigation console...where Page Up and Down will select the travel destination and X will send you there...
Esc of course exits
F2 takes a screenshot
F10 toggles fullscreen and windowed mode...

Thats all I can think of off hand...

Thanks, I'll try them out after I get off work. Hope you can work something out with the engine, because I'd love to explore the surface of Mars like what's in your pic's!
