VT of Arecibo's telescope in Puerto Rico (Blue Marble DDS) +

Hello all..
Well, i have done a new VT some days ago and i made that one especially for you, astronomers lovers.. Just to say that i have that big picture from the http://www.spaceimaging.com web site for about 1 month now and i was always thinking that the object was too small to be inserted it in a VT to be clearly visible with some details.. No problem since i do as always the last level in 2048x2048.. At first i was not knowing where it was located on the Island but i find out where exactly.. Btw, I have some difficulty to adjust some of the coast of the Puerto Rico island but it look nice anyway when coming out of level4..
So this is the result..
File is: portorico-arecibo-dish-(lvl5up-lstlvl-2048)(tx-bk)v2.zip 1412118 Kb
Sorry to say again that you can receive my file only if you can use ICQ or Yahoo messenger..
I try to not send anymore Big files inside email.. Sorry again!
P.S. You need to have (level0 to 5) Blue Marble DDS installed in Celestia for this add-on to work..

Since i am here and to those who have read some details in my other messages about how i make these Blue Marble VT add-on. I will answer now that question about why i use 2048x2048 tile for the last or higher level of my add-on..
As you can see, for the image to be viewed in best details, No choice to make the last tile in 2048x2048.. In my first work, i have try normal 512x512 tiles for the last level of New York and it was really too fuzzy like you can see in the example.. Btw, I tend also to do previous levels in 1024x1024 size because again, it is less fuzzy than 512x512.. (Btw, i never use mipmap..)
Ok that's about all.. Will i make some other VT(?).. For now i don't know since i have done scenes for me first and that i like more.. For sure, good space photo of a specific area are rare and i can't do all the earth.. But at least, i was able to please some of you out there with just the one that i make.. And i guess, enough to "attract" some more "new" Celestia users..
Bonne journ?e.. Jean-Pierre
