Edu. activity - Life and death of stars - use with linux

Hi all,

I am using celestia 1.3.0 compiled with the KDE interface. I tried to install the add-ons to be used with the Educational activity about life and death of stars. I could download the 5 files which I extracted in the "extras" directory of the celestia installation (which is /usr/local/celestia-1.2.3/share/apps/celestia/extras) but apparently something is wrong.

The test I did is to go to M42 to see the Orion Nebula as it is described in the activity document, but I couldn't see it. Also when celestia starts complains:

Error parsing solar system file.
Parent body 'HIP 350006' of 'Black Hole 2' not found.
Parent body 'HIP 350005' of 'Black Dwarf' not found.
Parent body 'Neutron Star' of 'Neutron Star' not found.
Parent body 'PSR1257' of 'PSR1257+12' not found.
Parent body 'HIP 333340' of 'Crab Pulsar' not found.
render path: 1

Now my question is: is it possible to use these addons under linux? If so, what should I do to install the addons?

By the way, among the tests I did I also extracted all the files in the extras directory (wihout the subdir structure) and I also tried to copy textures, models and data in the main celestia textures, model and data directory. Without luck

Thanks
