Orbital data of S/2003 N1?
Where can I get the orbital data of S/2003 N1?
This nasa facts sheet conflicts with that web page Selden
which one is right ?
http://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/planetary/factsheet/neptuniansatfact.html
for example your web link says that S/2002 N1 Semi-major Axis is 15686000.
and the link i found says 21990.000
And in the Numberedmoons.ssc it is 21930000
BIG diference, what one is right
And is S/2003 N1 confirmed as the 12th satelite now ?

Re: Orbital data of S/2003 N1?
The usual ecliptic coordinates given in Selden's link need a little recalculation before they can be used in Celestia. See below for the Celestia elements.Jacky Fung wrote:Where can I get the orbital data of S/2003 N1?
Selden's link is the more up-to-date version. The original published elements for the outer Neptunians were very approximate, and they've recently been revised, with major effect on 2002N1. The difference between your link, Darkmiss, and the old numberedmoons.ssc is mainly a factor of a thousand, because the table you link to is given in units of a thousand kilometres.Darkmiss wrote:This nasa facts sheet conflicts with that web page Selden

You can update your present numberedmoons.ssc by overwriting the Neptune definitions with:
