new Eracle System addon

I've created a new fictional addon, available for download
here

As stated, it's a fictional addon inspired by events in my life that have took place sence I started on it some 4 months ago.

This is my second addon. As some of you may remember, some time ago I released an addon called "angelic domain". Well I'm hoping my skills have improved, and this addon brings alot higher quality eyecandy to celestia.

any bugs, criticism, or maybe even compliments are welcome.

So I'd like you all to keep an open mind, and enjoy it for simply what it is, something nice to look at, and with that, here's some sneak peaks

A readme can be found here http://darkbolt.sfexplore.com/README
and other bits of my work can be found at my site, http://darkbolt.sfexplore.com

I hope all who try it enjoy it :)

Nice work,
I've got a question for shot #2.
In the upper middle section, is that liquid?
To me it looks like some sort of lava :?
I'm not saying it looks bad, It looks cool,
just a little wierd for my taste.

After visiting your system, I can say I like the first planet (very darky, I love !) and a few others.

But I think is quite repetitive, with a lot of identical planets. For my taste, there is too much planets...

You could change the folder structure, getting rid of the data's folder (the system's name can be wrote in eracle.stc, adding the star's name in starnames.dat is no more needed), and moving eracle.ssc and eracle.stc in the root directory.

And you could work on specular texture, it would be nice for some planets.

Anyway, the day I'd be working on my second addon ( ), I hope I'll make one of this quality.

Nice done Darkbolt, and thanks for sharing it.

Well I'm glad you over all liked it. I'll be the first to agree it's not perfect, and I can see how you may find it a tad repetitive, or even that theres too many planets. I completely respect your view, and agree with it (to some degree)

As for the file structure, I'll be sure to remember that for my next addon, but for now that will need to stay (a 22mb file is NOT fun to upload on 56k  )

Don't be disapointed by my criticisms, it was only intented in the way of perfecting (IMHO) your system. As you understood, I over-all liked it.

I encourage constructive criticism, in which you gave me. And I'll put it to good use. And if it werent due to my "celestial range" as you put it, i'd probably implement some of the things you suggested sooner :)

I loved watching the eclipses of the Ashnisol system. 8) Christical looked mystifying and I wondered how could there be a trio of earthlike planets :? but it sure looked pretty. :D I watched a few eclipses there as well.
