Addons I'm working on: Gaea, Alliance/Union, Orion's Arm

I'm currently working on several Addons.
Illustrating the Gaea trilogy by John Varley:
Another is a collaboration with Troutweaver, showing his models of spacecraft from the Alliance/Union series by C.J. Cherryh:
But my current project, showing some of the wormhole routes in Orion's Arm has distracted me from those two:

Those wormhole routes...
I wish it would be a standard feature in Celestia...
Celestia is now like the best word processor ever but without the ability to edit the text after loading it...
Celestia could make whole stellar maps real time with the ability to save them...

john71,
the analogy with a word processor is wrong.
Better comparison : Celestia is a pdf reader, and the best of its kind.

OK, you are right of course, but I hope you can see what I mean: a lot of people simply don't realise the full potential of Celestia. It takes months or maybe years for some people to learn it.

I mean creating CONTENT is the full potential of Celestia...

I agree that adding new contents to Celestia (addons) isn't a very easy task. But astronomy itself isn't a very simple matter to correctly understand neither.

Maybe we should really analyse the usefulness of Celestia.
For example Celestia is perfect for:
- creating photorealistic astronomy simulations
- creating educational materials
- exploring the Universe
- understanding the real scale and internal structure of the Universe
- creating sci-fi models and enviroments.
But Celestia could be used for much more...
For example:
- sharing and downloading cmod 3d models like Sketchup
- integrated online sharing of add-ons
- online add-on updates
- interactive world-building
- saving the interactive world building
- etc.

Celestia could be a 3d "Universe-Second life" too...
