Angular Separation Between Points in Space

Is there a way measure the angular separation between two objects?

Specifically, it would be great if one could, not just from EARTH , but from anywhere in space, mark a star (green diamond) mark another star, and then, through pressing some hot key or other, have the angular separation between the two objects be displayed. Perhaps , even with a line drawn between them.

Has anyone developed such a tool?
Would it be possible to develop one?

I am trying to develop a realistic system of interstellar navigation.

Yes! :)

A good starting point is here:

I bet it is easy to make your addon as a lua pluging for LUA PLUG-INS.
This way you could have a neat display of the result.

Hello,

There is now such a tool! :)

For those who never watch the tutorials, you can find the complete code for this tool here:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=17141&p=132522#p132522
and you can use it without having to read the boring explanations.

Happy new year
