New SF models (DOWNLOAD LINK)

Here are some new SF models for your pleasure, from this website :
http://www.foundation3d.com/index.php?c ... tionid=204

First model : U.S.S. Enterprise NCC 1701 from the old TV show. Beware : the model is using several large textures (2048 X 2048 jpg). You may want to reduce their size, depending on your video card. Adapt the SSC to your taste...

No way to convert this model to cmod... :(
Something must be wrong with the geometry...

??? I don't have any trouble in converting both files to CMOD, using the usual CMOD tool.

No, it's the original spaceship from the old TV show.

Ah ok... I guess there is too much versions and google is messing all the stuff!

(EDIT: for people who are (like me) completely noob on the Star Trek universe, I find this wiki: http://memory-alpha.org/en/wiki/USS_Enterprise (here on the entreprise page).
Apparently under NCC - 1701, you can find two versions, the one above being the very first one. Then comes NCC - 1701 A which was the exact replica of the second version of NCC - 1701... kind of confusing...)

So what about your cmod fixing options? It still crashing on my side...

It crash on weld... :( (it's why I said it as a geometry problem...)
That's weird...

I tried it again, with weld selected. No crash. Everything is working as normal on my computer.

What's the hell with this 1.04! One need to generate normals to be able to weld vertices! In previous versions both options were independent!
The model do pass the weld but the tool like this is useless to me... :|

This tool has several limitations, indeed. Especially about smoothing. And there's an annoying bug about the semi-transparent parts, which may become invisible in Celestia, so beware ! :?

The problem is that this stuff is breaking my production line! I'll mail DW to get some info...

I was wrong all along! the cmodtool never weld vertices without normal generation... That's perhaps why I was so confuse with texture seam... So 1.04 is just ok, so is the model!

But beware of pieces with some transparency. They may end wrong, in Celestia. There's a difference between various versions of the CMODTool.

Cham, I wish you would have said something earlier, I could have fixed the normals in Anim8or after I converted them. I didn't cause i figured you were gonna do it. I always fix the normals so they are not transparent in Celestia. Sorry about that.

Tim, AFAIK, it has nothing to do about normals. I was talking about a bug in the CMODTool for OS X.
