Just FYI...

I really like what you've done with the ringed planet, and that last planet? Moon? looks great from
the Brain-Dead user's point of view. Please note that I just like the way they look. I don't
have a clue as to what physics and/or science is needed to see real planets/moons like these.

Thanks, Brain-Dead

You may always submit add-ons to the Motherlode for review, but I must tell you that
the requirements for acceptance are now a lot more stringent than they used to be. Please view
the requirements for uploads listed HERE.

You may also use the Google search engine to translate pages for you too. Sorry, but I know NO Polish.

Please upload, this system looks awesome! Very, very nice! It's rare to see a "first system" that looks so good. Keep up the good work.

Bob,

just used your link (HERE) to have a first look at your revised ML upload restrictions.

Such a list is certainly VERY desirable progress!

What I definitely missed --in view of Celestia being multi-OS--, is the request NOT to use file names that are composed of more than one word separated by BLANKS or a few other "bad" whitespace characters!
(e.g an image filename 'my great planet.jpg')

Such filenames call for a lot of trouble in any OS except Windows!

Any particular reason why this very important reason for trouble was not excluded at last?

Cheers,
Fridger

I saw my unizped file at computer and lucky for me i didn't find white spaces in names of textures.
But this will be mistake when white spaces is in names of folders included in zip file?

I hope not....

ElChristou:

Hello, in general it's better to avoid any spaces, this way you will be sure your addon will run smoothly on any platform.

Thx and t00fri too for explain 8)

t00fri:Any particular reason why this very important reason for trouble was not excluded at last?

When i send correct name of my file i saw "connect lost" and must refresh site but when i done this i saw all upload procedure from the beginning.
And i dont now whether my name of file is send or not. :?

No, it's just that Ulrich hasn't gotten around to that yet, and I'm afraid that I simply do not have the ability to do such things with that particular page. I will pass on this decidedly GOOD advice to my friend, and I'm certain that he will get to it. Ulrich is really very busy right now too. Is working with the Phoenix Lander Mission, and trying to keep up with the tons of new add-ons we're getting on an almost daily basis now.

Many thanks for the suggestion though. It is an excellent one which really should be included on the page. Normally, when I examine an add-on, I check for such things, but I do sometimes miss them because I am - after all - human.

Just FYI (For Your Information) Milos...

I have not seen your add-on yet, but that could very well be because we are very busy at the moment. As soon as Ulrich places it where I can examine it, I'll definitely let you know what I think of it.

Have patience, my friend. We will get it listed ASAP (As Soon As Possible.)
Thanks, Bob

EDIT: One other note here... If the upload form is too much of a problem for you, you can also send the file to me via e-mail if you like. Just go to my web site located HERE, and then click on the E-mail link at the bottom of the page to send me the file. Click on Albert to send me an e-mail, and I'll see if I can upload it for you.

Milos?

Just for your information I have managed to download your zip file from a private area on the Motherlode, and I'll have a look at it overnight if you don't mind.
If I can improve the description and/or the English, would you like me to do that?

Would be happy to, but will take some time in order to test the add-on thoroughly at my end. Ulrich was kind enough to keep the add-on in a place where I could get to it, even though you apparently had some trouble using the upload form.

Again, let me have a look at the entire package, and I'll see if we can't get it posted tomorrow.

Many thanks for the upload my friend.

Sorry, but here's what I see so far in your upload Milos...

1. There are spaces included in some of the folder, model and texture names.
This may or may not cause an automatic rejection by the Motherlode. We're still debating this question at the moment I think. One simple example involves the main "Tangier System" folder name.
To other (more knowledgeable) users here... Does this actually precipitate a problem when you try to use the folder on a non-Windows system? The "Tangier Nebula" folder is in the same condition. Milos? Can you not use a folder name like "tangiernebula" here? Notice that there are no embedded spaces and that there are also no capital letters used.

2. The Tangier System\USS Defiant\textures\medres naming will also cause problems for non-Windows system users I believe. In this folder, please note that everything is named using CAPITAL letters. One example is: "AFTHLBOT.JPG" and - if I'm not mistaken - this will also cause problems for non-Windows users simply because the file extension is JPG rather than jpg.

Now, I could very well be absolutely in the wrong here, so please (you knowledgeable users) let me know if I am not stating the case correctly here.
Honestly though, this add-on runs absolutely in a spectacular fashion on my Vista System, so I'm just trying to understand what other user's problems may be here.

All comments appreciated.
