Hi
ZSC Mini-Addon is a small addon that adds 30 stars from ZSC I to ZSC XXX in the Milky Way Galaxy. Each of these stars has a solar system which in turn are all diferent from each other and have their own unique history. All of the textures in these systems are done by me (excluding asteroid models because I can't model yet) I have already released ZSC I - Zanodon, which kicks off the mini - addon. You will be albe to find it on my new filefront page (the last one I can't get access to anymore)
Here it is enjoy !!

Re: ZSC Mini-Addon
Sorry, but NONE of your planets have textures displayed.I tested in Celestia 1.4.1.
Re: ZSC Mini-Addon
That's because the Addon is not structured for direct installation. You have to drag its folders' contents into appropriate folders in your Celestia directory.
Mixing files in with Celestia's own directories can make things very inconvenient when you upgrade Celestia and have several different versions installed.
For convenience of the user, the Zip file should contain a folder named for the Addon (e.g. zsc1)
Within that directory should be its ssc files and a folder named
\textures\
Within the textures folder should be the folders
\medres\ and \hires\ containing the appropriate texture files.
Note that the textures, medres and hires folder names should not be capitalized.
If it had that organization, one could just drag the folder zsc1 from the Zip into the local extras directory.
[edit]
Another problem is that the Addon uses bmp files.
They all need to be translated into some other format: jpg, png or dds.
Celestia does not officially support bmp format. If it works, you're just lucky.

Re: ZSC Mini-Addon
Would be nice to study a bit the medium you want to use before posting useless stuff and make people lose their time... (avoiding bmp for example is such elementary...)

Re: ZSC Mini-Addon
I give up!
I change some of the bumpmaps to .jpg and the planets are still a blank sphere.
Maybe somebody have more lucky...

Re: ZSC Mini-Addon
After I moved the files to the directories I described, it worked fine for me.

Now it works and it isn?t EVEN necessary to rename all the textures to .jpg.
