I've created an SSC for Apophis:
Click
HEREto download it (1Kb), then just unzip it into your extras folder:
This should be "taken with a grain of salt" as it is based on the data published at the
WIKI page for Apothis, so is likely to be inaccurate or out of date.
Updated data from more reliable or recent sources would be welcomed. Please post it here, if you know of better data.

HORIZONS Web-Interface
This tool provides a web-based limited interface to JPL's HORIZONS system which can be used to generate ephemerides for solar-system bodies. Full access to HORIZONS features is available via the primary telnet interface. HORIZONS system news shows recent changes and improvements. A web-interface tutorial is available to assist new users.

WHICH addon from WHICH OP?
Who is the OP?
Sorry but some Europeans are rather slow with understanding
undefined acronyms...

Often OP is used on Web forums to mean "Original Post" or "Original Poster" -- the first article in a thread or its author.
In this case it was "starfleetengineer", and he wrote
This should be "taken with a grain of salt" as it is based on the data published at the WIKI page for Apothis, so is likely to be inaccurate or out of date.
A reasonably accurate xyz trajectory should be available from JPL's Horizons ephemeris service and can be obtained by using its e'mail interface.

It is left as an excercise for the student to obtain the xyz trajectory from Horizons and translate it for use with Celestia.

Sorry I don't "traffic" in WEB forums...

I could easily come up with "techno talking" that few would understand... So my plea is to leave acronyms at home. In Europe acronyms are far less popular than in the US.
Thanks anyway for your explanation.

yea i took that horizons link earlier and entered the data and got a more accurate model
im curious, does anyone think it possible to somehow get google earth as the skin for earth in this program?

No need:
While DESY only has 3 meanings OP has
91!
And incidentally, I always write out in my professional emails the full address, despite everyone of my correspondents would surely know what DESY means. It's just BAD writing style.

Well of course OP
would have more meanings as it has only 2 characters...
desy = 3
des = 62
