I dont know much about programing in celestia but i have the necesary skill to make addons.
Since celestia can now suport sound the question is : can i make an addon with sound?
I think it will be great to hear sounds coming from a pulsar, a black hole, the sun, a planet etc.
Can somebody tell me how can i define it in the ssc or dsc files.
I dont think it will help if i make a cel script or if i add a link
I found this sites where you can hear sound coming from diferent sources in space:
http://www.spacesounds.com/navigator/index.html

You must use a cel or celx script to add a sound in Celestia. However, using the Celestia-ED version of Celestia, you can control the sound via keystrokes. For example, a user going to Jupiter might be instructed via the script to press the [3] key to hear winds blowing in Jupiter's cloud bands, or press the [2] key to hear radio transmissions from the Galileo spacecraft, or ...
I prefer to control script use by embeding a series of cel:url links into an MS Word document, which explains to the reader exactly what script to launch, what keys to press, and describes in detail what the user is seeing.
You can check that out by taking an educational journey. Sound effects are used in every journey. They can be found at the motherlode educational website at http://celestiamotherlode.net/catalog/educational.php

Thanks but that's not what i had in mind.
I'm no expert but cel or celx scripts are just a couple of interactive shows
An addon can simulate the sound in realtime and more free movement is posible
Most users dont even know how to launch or use script files
I still think celestia is the best space simulator
