The only problem that I've found is that the SSC files still specify .3ds models. Since you're providing CMOD models, you need to change the Mesh lines.
Otherwise, they look very good!
New 2001 Discovery model

With 4x antialiasing and 8x anisotropy enabled with manual settings in the driver, and running at 1600x1200,
looking at Discovery, I get between 13 and 20 fps. It varies depending on the viewpoint.
Looking at the Pod, I get about 7.5 fps.
Strangely, I seem to get the same performance with antialiasing and anisotropy disabled. (manual settings enabled but set to off)
I can tell the difference between the two conditions by looking closely at diagonal lines. With anti-aliasing enabled, I can see different shades of individual pixels along the edges. With it disabled, adjacent pixels have the same color and "stairsteps" are visible.

The place where Discovery is sitting is very nice, because we can clearly see Jupiter and Io at the same time in the background. And the pod can also be seen with all that in the background ! Maybe I should take a snapshot of the Discovery in the foreground, with its pod close to it, and Jupiter and its moon rising in the background. It's trully spectacular !
