For those that need it, here is a simple SSC file that properly aligns the Discovery models in orbit. The file names all 3 Discovery models (alone, with ISS and with Mir). To change from one to the other, simply place a comment symbol # in front of the line that says Mesh "orbdiscovery.3ds" and remove the comment symbol from in front of another Mesh line. Also, you will need to download the 3 Discovery meshes from this thread in order to use them. The textures are all the same for all 3.

"Discovery" "Sol/Earth"
{
Class "spacecraft"
Mesh "orbdiscovery.3ds" # new Discovery model in earth orbit
#Mesh "neworbiss.3ds" # substitutes the Discovery at the ISS docking bay
#Mesh "mirdiscovery.3ds" #substitutes Discovery docked to Mir
Radius 0.02

EllipticalOrbit {
Period 0.073
SemiMajorAxis 6840
Inclination 30
}
Orientation [90 0 1 0]
Obliquity 30
}

Hello, Paul, Celestians:
Darkmiss wrote:Jeam Tag none of the models where by me.
I converted a model from a different format, and hosted it.

To refresh my page over shuttle add-ons (see the old one here: http://jeam.tag.free.fr/CELESTIAhtml/CelestiaAddons-Spacecrafts4
)
i would need small informations: who created the model of shuttle in rise that I allotted to you, and where it is downloadable today? I wish to reactualize this page with the beautiful models of BH/Terrier/OrbiterFan. Please, throw a glance in this very old page and correct me (private?) many errors which are there!
Thanks a lot!
Jeam

Hello Jeam...bh here. The models you have there by myself are a bit out of date...also there is nothing at http://www.rhundley.freeserve.co.uk so you can remove that link.

A new model coming tonight! I shall have a shuttle page on line soon so you can link to that!

Thanks.

Great news, many thanks, BH..
1/ hope that this launch model, even if it is out of date, will be avaible: Shuttle launchs have many configurations, and there are not enough ones in Celestia, yours and the nice Higgins one, and others are needed!. Do not delete your previous works, please :wink:
2/ I saw that the old URL Address doesn't work: but i'll wait for your new 'Shuttle Central' to update seriously this page, of course! :)

[PS: when i wrote this page, some months ago, i was very enjoy with your shuttle pack w different config. , for example the 'naked' Shuttle (without great textures like your recent works) with arm, sat and astronaut: in my little comment i recommended it -after deleting sat, of course- for the Higgins' probe launchs. In the same way, i hope have time for add in my next update some notes (in french AND in english) wich are proposing links to Probe launch missions, stations docking etc.. if it can help.]

Jeam, sorry all, i have no time to create a complete site for the moment ,but i try to update my little notes step by step.

Jeam...new shuttle page is now on-line!

It's here:
http://www.berasan.com/celestia/bhshuttle.html

I haven't deleted any previous models but they won't be on the page (yet). Just the latest releases.

Regards..bh.
