Is that the old model we have over here or you have rebuild a brand new one? (the old one was all but optimized for real time, it was a pain to load and FPS was really bad on my config, so 2 of this + the rest... :x)

Linuxm@n, what codec did you encode the movies in? (The more common ones are DivX, WMV, MEPEG4, Xvid)
If it's an unusual codec, we probably haven't got the playback codec, and this would be why they can't be played. (We may just have to get the appropriate codec).

I made this capture with xvidcap/Linux

I 'am trying to make a new video on vista with existing capture menu from celestia.
And use moviemaker with vista.

Hope i can do a better one, but have a look at this one,it must run on any computer:

I have exported the lightwave one, it seems to work better and look pretty, i have tried a "reduce polygon function but it'make a transparent model with broken polygons.

Before Moonbus was 2.6 mb now it is 2.1.

Soon i will replace the pack and make separate update file for ssc xyz and some models:

Moonbus new model and a best radar for Discovery, and some modification on astronauts models.

A Moonbus ssc replacement with liftoff from Clavius the day after Aries arrive.
(actualy there are 3 Moonbus from old model as the same day when Aries is landing)
Moonbus will get a best radius.

A Moonbus accessoiries ssc file will contain cockpit command control ,passenger and pilot.
(you can delete this file to have best Fps )

A new aries.ssc file with best timing for landing
A new ssc file Franck-sortie

And scritps modification for Danube for the Moonbus

I am waiting to tune best xyz orbit for the moonbus
it is to far from is landing site Tycho (about 3 km ) as soon is ready i will change the pack.

A separate update pack will be availlable if you have soon the first pack.

In some days.....

For video the best way to watch them for mac or Pc is here

Just tested OK on my old computer (P4 3GHz, on an Intel 865, 2GB RAM, HDD SATA, GeForce FX 6200 256MB). Some jumps when changing scenes (loading models?).

Fantastic addon!

Just so everyone knows about this add-on...

I have just installed and tested completely the entire package on my system, and all I can say is WOW.
The scripts work flawlessly - and along with the music - make for a simply awesome tour of the movie's machines, people, locations and spacecraft.

Again, many, many thanks my friend. This add-on is simply amazing. :)

EDIT: Since I have spent the entire morning going through this add-on, and watching the various scripts execute on my machine, I just wanted to add that this package is not only amazing, but it is also spectacular, awesome, fantastic, superb, magnificent, and simply the best add-on I have ever seen for Celestia. If you think I'm going overboard here, I'll shut up now. I did want to let Linuxm@n know how MUCH I like this package though. Wow, again.

Much appreciated my friend. I would have paid money for this. :D
Brain-Dead Geezer Bob is now using...
Windows Vista Home Premium, 64-bit on a
Gateway Pentium Dual-Core CPU E5200, 2.5GHz
7 GB RAM, 500 GB hard disk, Nvidia GeForce 7100
Nvidia nForce 630i, 1680x1050 screen, Latest SVN

Hello !

Sorry for not having responded sooner, but I have serious health problems, I am very touched by your messages and I am sorry for you Cham if my addon is too heavy, a new version ( celestia 1.50/1.51) is soon finished (about 10 days)
the addon is complex and uses many file "q" and "xyz", the models use now the cmod meshes
My calculation expert gilles must be 2 or 3 changes and i have to do some retouch on models and on scripts.
This addon runs on a 2400athlon computer 1gb ram and geforce 6600/256mb, i think it is the minimal configuration.

A video on the murder of Franck and his rescue is availlable here in avi format can be read (with vlc or other player) :

I don't seem to be able to figure out how to upload images - pop over to my website and see if you can find the models I've built from 2001:A Space Odyssey.

I have not used your models , in this addon look at CREDITS.txt for authors ( i just saw your pod-eva model on the url below)

http://www.3dmodelworks.com/redir.asp?P ... DEL%3D2468
Is it your model ?

Lots of pictures are available on my site see the 2001 gallery page
http://celestiasws.free.fr/pages/2001Shots.html

And as El Christou says an url-cel page for celestia 1.51

http://celestiasws.free.fr/2001jm/Urlce ... rlcel.html

(you have to install celestia 1.51 and the 2001 addon)

A new thread for this 2001 addon on this forum below:
