F-TexTools, NmTools BMNG texture kit with bat files

Post #1by cartrite » 16.12.2007, 17:34

I am just finishing my final tests on a bmng kit for Windows. It has a basic addon directory structure with ssc and ctx files. A make-bmng.bat file is in the bmng\textures\hires\bmng folder that will create the levelx folders and vt tiles.

You'll need F-TexTools installed along with gzip.
All you got to do is download the files of your choosing and click on the bat file.
There are readme files with plenty of directions.

If these final test go well, I'm going do upload the package to my SWBD Specular Map page at my web site.

For those who haven't done a texture yet, this is about as simple as I can make it. Virtually all one has to do download the 2 files and install F-TexTools ang Gzip. I created this to do February BMNG and used my New SWBD Landmask. If one uses those files and has F-TexTools installed, all you got to do is click the mouse. The package is at my web site on the SWBD Specular Page. Let me know what you all think.

I just updated the kit to create a normalmap with NmTools-1.0pre1
http://www.celestialmatters.org/users/t ... .5pre1.zip
I created a normalmap with Windows in about a half hour. Just 1 click. Of course I had the data file srtm 84k height map already. Downloading the files will depend on your internet connection speed. If anyone has questions using or editing the scripts, post them here and I'll try to answer them. The newer version of the kit is now available at my web site on the SWBD Specular Map page. Have Fun.

Your all Welcome there Bob. I like the ease of use myself. Hopefully this works with Vista. I only got XP so I couldn't test it for Vista.

Looks like it will, but I have about 100 other things to do before I can
play with it some more. I'll let you know if I encounter any problems,
but I don't see anything right off the initial viewing of the package.

Thanks again, Bob

Hi,
I updated the 64k texture kit to use the newer version of the landmask. Just a couple of name changes.
