Here is an impression of the result.
Actually this is part of a new texture for Orion's Arm, New Earth (104 Tauri b) a planet which has been artificially remoulded to resemble Old Earth, but over time has eroded to look quite different. I've made the clouds very transparent so's the surface can be seen... in the final version I'll make them a bit thicker.
